Hawkes Bay Wedding Venue Guide - The Top Six Hawkes Bay Wedding Venues (until I can finish this article and make it top ten)

As a Hawke's Bay Wedding Photographer and Hawkes Bay Videographer I have been to lots and lots of wedding venues here, some private, some lovely, some are very argicultural. However I think we are blessed with some amazing Hawkes Bay Wedding Venues, obviously some beautiful spots. Here are some of my picks in no particular order. And this is not sponsored, and it was written by me by my own hand, and I'm no journalist which you're about to find out.

Black Barn River Room, Hastings
This is an amazing venue for a smaller wedding for up to about 60 guests. Set overlooking the Tukituki River and the back of Te Mata Peak, this venue has amazing views.
The event staff are attentive and the venue is suitable for summer and winter weddings, with a commerical kitchen, heating, outdoor fireplace, and grass and paved spots to get married.
The Old Church, Napier
The Old Church is great for large and small weddings and there are over 10 different spots where you can choose to have your ceremony, and you're able to fit lots of people comfortably inside and outside for both ceremony and the meal or canapes afterwards. Run by Orton's, one of Hawke's Bay's most respected and established catering companies, your in good hands with experienced staff and lots of options for wet and dry weather.
The venue is not far from beautiful reserves where you can go offsite for photos, but some couples elect to stay on site. You also have the option to get ready at the villa onsite, to really make getting there and back ultra convenient and easy.
The Atrium, Hastings
One of Hawke's Bays newer and more exciting wedding venues bringing some much needed urban chic to wedding venues in Hawke's Bay.
With a centrepiece spiral staircase, festoon lights, polished concrete floors, a beverage garden, cathedral ceilings and an industrial, minimal aesthetic this venue offers lots of scope to create a beautiful modern wedding here.

St Georges Restaurant, Havelock North
This Hawke's Bay Wedding Venue is good for small and medium sized weddings. Renowned as a restaurant in its own right, this is a pretty garden venue set at the foothills of Te Mata Peak.
You can choose to get married in the couryard, inside, or in the grounds. For meals you can choose to have garden service or use the beautiful a-frame upstairs for intimate feeling celebrations. With a polished concrete floors and white walls this venue lets you design your own wedding without painting you into an aesthetic or colour palette corner.
Handily located near Te Mata Peak, the Tukituki River, and orchards, you've got lots of choices here. With it being on the outskirts of well to do Havelock North and the more reasonably priced Hastings, there will be plenty of comfortable, safe, well appointed accommodation options for all budgets for your out of town guests.
Mission Estate Winery
Under new event mangement with Gina Murillo, Mission Estate has had a style injection lately. With beautiful established gardens, a beautiful historic venue and chapel, beautiful views, and situated near the airport and easily accessible, this is a great option as a Hawkes Bay Wedding Venue for weddings of all sizes.
The large ceilings of the chapel have to be seen to be truly taken in. The small stage is perfect as a dancefloor. You have the marquee name of Mission Estate, the famous concert venue, restaurant and winery.
You're also really near parks and reserves if you would prefer photos offsite, but really the Mission grounds themselves are amazing and offer lots of options at all times of the year. Also with the option to stay on the grounds, this makes the Mission a great choice as your Hawke's Bay Wedding Venue
Crab Farm Winery, Bay View
This Hawke's Bay Wedding Venue is rustic. Lots of wood, lots of driftwood, lots of charm, lots of chunky wood tables, lots of hearty food. This venue is great for alt weddings, folk weddings, low key weddings, relaxed weddings and for a good time.
There is an enourmous winter hearth to keep the chills away, and in summer the sun kisses almost every corner of the venue. You can choose to get married in the rustic pergola, and get your pew benches out for that.
For intimate wedding affairs there is a treehouse vibe upstairs, where you can share a meal with just a few people in comfort and relaxation. You will be able to sample the house wine, no matter where you dine. And it's a family owned business.
If you want something a little different, and if you want relaxation, warmth, intimacy and don't mind it being unrefined - then this could be the Hawkes Bay wedding venue for you. For your out of town guests this is probably the first town you hit driving in to Napier, and it's under 5 minutes drive from the airport.
