When you’re a Hawke's Bay Wedding Photographer, you can’t help but take stock of your life. You see the emotions of others coming to the surface, and sometimes from who you least expect. Mark is the wedding crier, Andrew reminded me, after he turned out to be the wedding crier on their day. I’m reminded by weddings of what is important to me, that family is important, that you need to put in the time and energy, and that sometimes there is a long hard road to get to where you are. Mark and Andrew were so in love, and so glad to be finally be here, surrounded by family and friends, more than a bit tipsy on cocktails, looked on by life sized orange and pink unicorns, and finally married and about to head back inside the marquee for the biggest party ever.
