Covid-19 // Coronavirus and Me

Some of my very dear friends have had really rough times, with some of them having massive business cancellations, financial and job insecurity, and some have hoarded wine like toilet paper to cope. I am really sorry this is happening to all of us. I really hope you and your family stay safe. It's understandable you might have questions and need answers whether you're already a client or thinking of booking me . I've tried to answer them below but if you have any questions you can email me below.

FAQ

Are you still taking bookings?

At the moment, yes I am. However I will be discussing the situation fully with future clients so that we are on the same page and make sure we're not putting people at risk.

What happens if I've paid a deposit and need to move my date?

We will work together to find a new date. At this time I'm recommending that people consider weekday booking if the new date is November to March as these months are already fairly booked up and to assist you in retaining your existing providers. I want to make sure my friends and colleagues don't lose bookings as it's a really rough time for lots of us.

I want to postpone my wedding, do you have any advice?

Please try and include your original vendors if possible. I recommend that you try to have a Monday to Thursday wedding to allow this to happen. You are able to change the date free of charge at the moment, and I will try and be as flexible as I can with new dates.

Are you still photographing weddings now?

Yes - if under 100 guests. However many of my wedding clients are starting to postpone their wedding. Being able to continue to photograph weddings is subject to change but I am committed to being a responsible and professional person and following government guidelines on gatherings.

You've already photographed my wedding, will I be affected?

Short answer - no. Weddings I have already photographed will still receive their slideshows, prints, albums and digital images as normal. There might be a little delay as the extra work in postponing, updating my website, corresponding with clients and other industry people occurs. However many of my planned weddings are getting postponed so wait times may actually go down soon because I will be photographing and editing less.

My wedding has over 100 guests, will you still photograph it?

No. If you're my client and this is the case, I can't do that as that is irresponsible and goes against a government mandate. Please get in touch ASAP if this is the case.

Are you going to go out of business?

No. My wife has a job that will support our family and people are still booking me for their weddings even now. I already have over 20 weddings booked for next season (November to March). I think I'll be fine.

I'm coming from overseas for the wedding, is that okay?

Yes if you properly self-isolate for 14 days and you are not sick, that's fine. To not do so is not playing your part as a responsible citizen and places providers and other guests at risk. So please don't skip this.
